KEDC Elects New Officers and Welcomes New Board Member

Pat Nault
Pat J. Nault was elected president of the Kilgore Economic Development Corp.’s board of directors at the first board meeting of fiscal year 2016-2017.  This will be Nault’s second stint as president. 
 
He has more than 36years of experience in the oil and gas business with more than 23 in the East Texas Field.  He is currently the president/chief executive officer of the East Texas Saltwater Disposal Company.  Mr. Nault has served on the Boards of many local civic organizations including Laird Memorial Hospital, East Texas Treatment Center, Piney Woods American Red Cross, Kilgore United Way, Kilgore Lions Club, Kilgore Chamber of Commerce, East Texas Engineering Association, and several youth Baseball, Basketball and Football Associations.  He was named Citizen of the Year in 2011.
 
Nault has a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Oklahoma State University.  He is married to Carla, who is a retired teacher in the Kilgore Independent School District.  They have two sons and two grandchildren, and he is a deacon at the Chandler Street Church of Christ. 
 
Vic Price
Joining the board is Victor Price. Price, a native of Corpus Christi, grew up around the country while his father served the Navy.
 
He has degrees from Southern Arkansas University as well as the University of Memphis, in engineering and business management. His career began in the electronics industry where he worked for 13 years at Motorola as a design engineer and as manufacturing manager before he focused on distribution. Today, Price is the vice president of Distribution Southwest Division at Orgill, where he has worked for 16 years and was previously director of logistics and engineering at the corporate office in Memphis.
 
He moved to Kilgore in 2007 with the location of Orgill in Synergy Industrial Park. Vic has become active in the community since moving to Kilgore with his wife Beth and three children Clinton, Hunter and Ian. He has held position on various boards in the past including East Texas Treatment Center, United Fund of Kilgore and Kilgore Education Foundation and served as chairman of the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce. He also is active at First Baptist Church in Kilgore.
 
Ty Sharp
Price replaces J. Ty Sharp.  Sharp is retiring from the board after two three-year terms and one two-year rotation as president.  He most recently served as Secretary/Treasurer of the organization.
 
Sharp is the shareholder, secretary/treasurer and chief financial officer of SSI Maxim Company, Inc. in Kilgore.  He previously served as secretary/treasurer and chief financial officer of SSI Mobley in Kilgore. In addition, he worked with Coopers and Lybrand CPAs in Houston and with Hancock, Bassham and Smith CPAs in Kilgore in audit and tax practice.
 
He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds membership in the Texas Society of Certified Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sharp has held leadership positions in the Kilgore Lions Club, Kilgore Community Crisis Center, United Way of Kilgore, Kilgore Youth Softball Association, Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and East Texas Treatment Center.
