Construction on Wagner Tuning’s new Kilgore facility continued throughout December.
After breaking ground in August, the high-performance auto parts manufacturer continued construction of the new facility throughout the end of 2019 with aims to open for business in January 2020.
The company is slated to employ about 30 people, primarily in machining jobs with some engineering positions – the company utilizes robotic equipment in its manufacturing process, according to Kilgore Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Amanda Nobles.
“Kilgore sits right in the middle. Within a day, within two days – everybody in America has our product. Transporting parts worldwide will be more efficient as well, including back home. We want to get the production up-and-running here so we can produce the parts for Germany and Europe,” said CEO Carsten Wagner in August.
