The Economic Excellence Recognition program provides recognition to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of organizational proficiency and effectiveness. It is the eleventh consecutive year TEDC has awarded the honor to KEDC.
“TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders and their economic development professionals have toward the professionalism of their economic development efforts,” said Carlton Schwab, president and CEO of TEDC.
“The KEDC board and staff place a high value on professional development and accountability,” said Lisa Denton, KEDC’s executive director. “To have the organization’s efforts acknowledged at a state level is quite an honor.”
Kilgore EDC was one of fifty-seven (57) communities recognized for 2021, a record-breaking number.
