Kilgore Economic Development Corporation Welcomes DeCeault onto Board

Pamela DeCeault, a long-term resident of Kilgore, has been named to the Kilgore Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) Board of Directors. Appointed by the Kilgore City Council at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 12th, DeCeault will start her first term on October 1, 2023. “I am looking forward to serving KEDC, and hope to add something meaningful to the work of the organization,” said DeCeault.

DeCeault has dedicated her life to volunteerism and the support philanthropic organizations. She was a founding member of the Kilgore Boys and Girls Club, where she continues to serve on the advisory council. A former board member of the Kilgore Habitat for Humanity, DeCeault co-chaired a fundraising event for nine years that raised over $400,000 for the Boys & Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity. She is past President of Kilgore Rotary Club, where she continues 20 years of perfect attendance. DeCeault was named Kilgore Citizen of the Year in 2011 and First Lady of Kilgore in 2015.

DeCeault previously served on the Gregg County Appraisal Review Board for six years, three of those as chairwoman. She attended University of North Texas, East Texas Baptist University and Southern Methodist University, where she graduated with distinction from the 1991 Graduate School of Banking.

DeCeault’s lifetime of philanthropic and community work bolsters a career in the world of finance. As an organizing director for Kilgore National Bank in 2000, DeCeault served Kilgore and greater East Texas with distinction, until her retirement in 2021. In 2008, she was one of two “Bankers Who Makes a Difference” selected by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas.

Bob Davis Jr. is departing the KEDC Board, having served two consecutive terms. He departs having most recently served as Board President. Of his time on the board, Davis says, “It’s been an honor to serve with KEDC, and I am proud of the accomplishments the organization has made over the past six years. While we bid a fond farewell to our director of thirty years, we also ushered in a new era with our current director, and set historical records of capital investment over the past two years. I’m grateful to have played a small part in these endeavors.”

Director Alan Pollard begins his first full term on the KEDC Board, after being appointed to complete an unexpired term in 2022.
