COVID-19 Crisis Fund EDPA

Kilgore Economic Development Corporation has established Kilgore Cares, an umbrella COVID-19 Crisis Program that consists of two funds to provide support and relief to Kilgore businesses in response to the adverse economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The program includes the COVID-19 Crisis Economic Development Performance Agreement for industrial employers.  It will be managed by KEDC according to typical retention practices.
“Industrial employers are our customers, and many of these businesses have been harmed from COVID-19 by additional costs and decreased revenues.  Our board wants to take steps during this crisis to support these businesses,” explains Bob Davis, president of the KEDC Board of Directors.
The program will be structured as a forgivable loan for a term of one year. If the company remains in business in Kilgore at the end of the term, the loan will be forgiven.  For more information, contact KEDC at 903 522 5332 or submit the application below to [email protected].
“KEDC has the experience, knowledge, capability, and tools to rise to this challenge and help the community. The organization was created in response to crisis in the 1980s and has responded through the years by nurturing a cohesive and successful economic strategy,” states Amanda Nobles, Executive Director of KEDC.
Kilgore Cares also consists of a COVID-19 crisis fund to provide support and relief for Kilgore small businesses. Eligible local businesses will have the opportunity to apply for grants of $2,000 that will be paid in two installments.
